Start

May 2020

If like us you’ve been stuck in the house for weeks during lockdown- chances are you’re frustrated that your favourite shops are still closed, and itching to update your surroundings!

We stumbled across this fab ‘printables’ section on House & Garden which is a collaboration with some of the UK’s top talent. These A4 images can be printed using your domestic home printer, and are easily insertable in to some frames. It’s not difficult to find good quality frames online, and we’ve included some of our top picks below.

To save time, we’ve compiled a selection of the images- but taken the blurbs on the artists directly from House & Garden’s website. The content, and images remain the property of House & Garden, their journalists and the artists themselves. We’re merely showing you these fab images!

Hope you like!

ROSE ELECTRA HARRIS

“Rose Electra Harris is a London based artist who works predominantly as a print-maker in her studio in Dalston. Growing up with an antique dealing father, Rose has always been surrounded and intrigued by antiques and textiles. Decorative objects such as vases, chandeliers and free-standing baths are common motifs in her work.” Click below to be redirected to House & Gardens to download.

juliana byrne

“Julianna Byrne is a London based illustrator and artist, working across various mediums. She graduated from London College of Communication in 2014 where she received a BA Hons in illustration and visual media. Her lovely botanicals and whimsical paintings of sylvan figures are a delight. If you like these, the real pictures are even better and can be ordered from her website.”

isabella cotier

“Isabella Cotier is an artist based in Dalston, born in London and raised in Florence. She is a modern day Flaneur – a continual observer of the people and passing moments around her, which she documents from life in her sketch books. She has a wonderful talent for capturing the humour, loneliness and tenderness of the human experience and in particular the experience of people living in the city.”

luke edward hall

Vogue-dubbed ‘Wunderkind‘ -Luke graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2012 after studying menswear design. After a spate dealing antiques, he cut his teeth working for Ben Pentreath before setting up his own interior design studio in 2015. But it’s his drawings and paintings – transposed to fabrics and ceramics for his eponymous homeware line – that are swiftly gaining noteriety; most recently from Christopher Bailey at Burberry who commissioned hand-drawn illustrations by Luke to feature alongside photographs by Mario Testino in the brand’s latest advertising campaign.”

susannah garrod

Susannah Garrod is a British artist and illustrator of fashion, beauty and life. Her studies in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins and History of Art at Edinburgh continue to play a part in the way that the past informs her style, in particular her love of the mid-century ‘Golden Age of Illustration’. She is currently working with The Berkeley Hotel, for whom she created the visual identity for Prêt-a-Portea, their famed fashion afternoon tea. Other recent clients include; British Vogue, Jimmy Choo, Emilia Wickstead, Jessica McCormack and Patek Philippe.”
