Coastal Oasis

This compact kitchen is part of an open-plan living space overlooking the County Down Coastline. The brief was to design a kitchen that was bright, timeless and with a hit of nautical.
The existing U-shaped layout could not be changed, however the layout was modified to include a washer/dryer and compact dishwasher, all hidden behind cupboard doors.
As well as a single oven, a combination microwave oven was added on the opposite wall, with storage above and below. This versatile appliance adds much needed flexibility when entertaining by providing a second oven.
To create a coastal look, high glazed ceramic tiles were added. Sourced from Fired Earth, these beautiful tiles create a sea glass look and add a hint of colour to an otherwise neutral design.
Our favourite designer detail is the Carrara Marble Quartz Worktops, which add luxury to this modest kitchen.
